Obituary for Pauline Ellen Bounds Squyres
Funeral services for Pauline Ellen Squyres will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 28, 2021, at Big Hammock Baptist Church, 9041 Hwy. 121 Hineston, LA, with Reverends Danny Perry and Bill Earl officiating. Burial will follow in Fellowship Cemetery under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service. A visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
Pauline was born June 6, 1931, in Hineston, LA and passed away September 24, 2021, in Alexandria, LA at the age of 90. She enjoyed quilting, completing puzzles, playing cards, and watching westerns on TV, especially John Wayne westerns. Having company drop by to visit always made her happy. Pauline loved to attend Big Hammock Baptist Church where she was a member. She had many good times traveling with her church group.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harley Marion Squyres; parents, George Washington Bounds and Myrtle Ellen Havens Bounds; grandsons, Jeremy Wayne Squyres, Gregory Heath Smith, Jason Scott Squyres, and Issac Nute Squyres; brothers, Earl, Louis, & Joe Bounds; sisters, Mary Sanson and Aline Hardcastle; son-in-law, Rusty Smith; and daughter-in-law, Missy Squyres.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Wayne Squyres and wife Sharon of DeRidder, LA, Jim Squyres and wife Vickie of Hineston, and John Squyres of LaCamp, LA;
daughters, Elaine Midkiff, Betty Meylian and husband John, and Audrey Smith all of Hineston;
grandchildren, Josh Squyres and wife Katlynn, Jenny Squyres, Jeff Thacker, Mike Thacker and wife Amy, Codye Thacker and wife Heather, Tori Williford, Jake Williford and wife Summer, Amy Foster and husband Adam, and Heather Costa and husband Corey;
great grandchildren, Hadleigh, J.W. Easton, & Kason Squyres, Jay, Braedon, Mikey, Hunter, Maggie, & Paisley Thacker, Hayden Williford, Dailyn & Cera Foster, Rowdy, Mady, Shelby, & Daultyn Smith, and Kylie & Evie Costa;
