Obituary for Paulann (Polly) Tweedel McBride
Funeral services for Paulann “Polly” McBride will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at Evans Congregational Methodist Church with Reverends Brent Noble and Bill Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the McBride Family Cemetery under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service.
Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 5th at Evans Congregational Methodist Church and will continue until the time of service on Wednesday.
Polly was born on February 18, 1958, in New Iberia, LA and passed away on June 2, 2018, in DeRidder, LA at the age of 60. She was a native of the DeRidder area and attended Deridder High School. After moving to Gonzales, Polly worked as a manager for Naturalizer Shoes. She attended the Healing Church in Baton Rouge and Beech Grove Congregational Church. Cooking, growing plants, and gardening were some of the things she enjoyed, but most of all Polly loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul Alden Tweedel and Gladys Earline Tweedel and her sister, Sue Tweedel.

Daughter: Kayla McBride and fiancée Cory of Gonzales, LA
Brothers: Barkley Tweedel and wife Brenda and Terry Tweedel and wife Linda both of DeRidder, LA
Grandchildren: Ivy, Mason, and Oakley
Godchild: Niki
and a host of extended family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Matthew McBride, Kris Williams, Heath LaVergne, Barkley Tweedel, Cory Acuillard, John Griffin, and Kevin Smith.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mason McBride and Ivy Basco.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Polly’s family or Jeane’s Funeral Service, 100 E. Union St. Leesville, LA, 337-238-1700, to help with the funeral expenses.
