Obituary for Paula Olga Frantzen Duhon
A graveside service for Paula Olga Frantzen Duhon will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 17, 2022, at Cormier Cemetery, 6001 Patrick Lane Vinton, LA 70668, with Pastor Brian Jones officiating under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service.
Paula was born October 15, 1930, in Fredericksburg, Texas and passed away January 12, 2022, in Leesville, LA at the age of 91. She was a native of Texas but had lived most of her life in the Sulphur area and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She worked as a bookkeeper for TG&Y and as a home seamstress. Paula used her sewing talent when she worked for various cleaners. She also enjoyed crocheting and fixing things for her grandchildren.
Paula was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, James Duhon; parents, Olga and Emil Frantzen; and several brothers and sisters.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Belton Duhon and wife Janya of Dry Creek, LA and Michael Duhon and wife Tracy of Hemphill, TX;
daughters, Linda Clever and husband John of Leesville, LA and Sandra Freeman and husband Carlton of Benton, TN;
sister-in-law, Clara Mae Smith of Lake Charles, LA;
seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Josh Duhon, Dylan Duhon, John Cleaver, Chad Toups, Drayton Berwick, and Shannon Simmond.
