Obituary for Paula Annette Robinson Smith
Funeral services for Paula Annette Robinson Smith will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 14, 2019, at Pitkin Pentecostal Church with Reverends Tim Thompson and Glenn Burks officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Moriah Cemetery under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service.
A visitation time for the family and friends of Mrs. Smith will be held at the church on Wednesday, November 13th from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m.
Mrs. Smith was born March 5, 1967 and passed away November 11, 2019 at the age of 52. She worked for many years as a substitute teacher at Pitkin. Paula was a talented piano player and singer. You didn’t drive by a Sonic without her making you stop for a drink. She was serious about washing dishes, so you better not turn away from your plate for a minute around her or she’d have it washed. She liked traveling and would make trips to see the blue bonnets and fall foliage. Paula grew flowers in her yard and could often be found sitting on her back porch. She was an avid collector of empty cardboard boxes, Cool Whip containers, and Clarks shoes. Most of all, she loved her family and being “Lolly” to her grandson, Jed.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Billy Wayne Smith of DeRidder, LA,
daughter, Leah Elizabeth Wead and husband Steven Eric of Noble, LA,
parents, Clinton Alton Robinson and Patricia Ann Robinson,
brother, Benjamin Stacy Robinson and wife Rhesa of Baton Rouge, LA,
sister, Dedra Denese Morrison and husband Robert of Hineston, LA,
grandson, Jed Lane Wead,
and a host of nephews, nieces, and extended family.
Pallbearers will be Nathan Smith, David Smith, Dawson Nolen, David Smith, Jeff West, and Wendel Sinclair.
Words of comfort and encouragement for the family and friends of Mrs, Smith may be left at www.jeanesfs.com.
