Paul was born on October 22, 1962, to Barney and Shirley Magee and passed away on March 7, 2017, at the age of 54. He was a 1982 graduate of Leesville High School where he participated in sports – especially football and baseball. Paul attended welding school in Lake Charles before becoming a fireman at Fort Polk where he served for over thirty years. Being an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting deer and turkey, going fishing, frogging, and noodling. Not only could he hunt, but he was a great at cooking fish, deer meat, and frog legs. Paul was competitive and loved sports. Watching his girls cheer and play basketball and softball brought him so much joy. Walking them down the aisle filled him with pride. He passed on his knowledge of hunting and searching for arrowheads to his grandkids. Making his family proud of him was important to Paul. He loved with his heart unconditionally and was a loving husband and father as well as a dependable friend. Paul could be counted on to always be there to help, and he always saw the good in everyone. He would say, "When the swelling goes down and the blood clots, it will be all right."
Preceding him in death was his sister, Donna Renee Magee
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of twenty-four years, Angie Magee
