Obituary for Paul David Koonce
Funeral services honoring the life of Paul David Koonce will be held on Sunday, March 10, 2024, at 4:00PM at the Grace Assembly of God, Hornbeck, LA with Reverends Wayne Chance, John Lewing and Rodney Hicks officiating. Burial will follow in the Beckhom Cemetery under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service. Serving as pallbearers will be Scott Parker, Aaron Davis, Jeremy Fullerton, Roland Arthur, Gary Fields, Jodi Squillini, and Jason Richardson. Honorary pallbearers will be Jason Ebarb, Logan Jordan, Ethan Ebarb, and Pete Parker.
Visitation will be held on Sunday from 3:00PM until the time of service.
Paul David Koonce was born on July 17, 1953, to JP and Christine Koonce in Hornbeck, LA. He passed away on March 6, 2024, in Alexandria, LA at the age of 70. He was an excellent mechanic and worked at Patrick Miller Tractor for many years. Paul was a very loving man and always willing to help others. He had a great sense of humor and loved teasing others; he was a very loving man that was easy to get along with. He loved being with his family and many friends, being outdoors, fishing and hunting.
He was preceded in death by his parents, JP and Christine Koonce, and sister, Kathleen David.
He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Anna Koonce of Florien;
sisters, Virginia McClelland and husband Mark of Michigan, Charlotte Koonce of Justin, TX, and Janet Ebarb of Florien; Linda and Pete Parker of Hornbeck;
stepdaughter, Kisha Goldvarg and husband Eric of Spring TX;
and a host of extended family and friends.
