Patsy was born to Charles and Nettie (Norsworthy) Nash on April 19, 1933 in Kurthwood, LA and God called her home on August 28, 2022 at the age of 89 years.
Patsy wore many hats and had many names but her favorite was “Momma” and “Grandma”. She loved her family. She was always busy working as much as her body would let her to show her love for her kids, grandkids, and friends even adopting a few “kids” and “grands” along the way. She loved doing for others. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, crafts, traveling, gardening and the outdoors. Doing it all with her kids and grandkids by her side was her delight. She enjoyed being involved in helping others- volunteering to help with Toys for Tots, leading ladies in WMU activities, Vacation Bible School, Acteens, GAs, Foreign Missions, Home Missions, and the list goes on. She was a giver- of her money, her time, her efforts, and most of all, her heart. She spent time with her God every morning before starting her day praying for her family and reading her Bible with her Missions Mosaic Devotional making sure to pray for the missionary of the day.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Nettie Nash of the Bellwood/Provencal area; her husbands, Edward Franklin and Herman Williams; her siblings, Bobbie Moss, Pauline Williams, Maggie Isgitt, Shirley Graham, Sandra Hilton, Carl Nash, Quinton Nash, and Gary Nash.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Kim (Don) Collins, Ruth (Todd) Suire; son, James (Fran) Franklin; grandchildren Ray Harris, Kalli Harris, Christina Brumley, Ashley (Kyle) Craddock, Parker Schott, Breanna Franklin, Makaila Franklin, Christopher Franklin; great grandchildren, Tripp Merriman, Ashton Harris, Emily Stephens, Jimmi Lynn Harris, Lola Matherne, Annah Harris, Natalie Rush, and Madilynn (Maddy) Craddock; her sister Connie (Bub) Hilton along with special family that was dear to her heart, Becky (Bobby) Sullivan, Beverly Williams, Louis Williams (Brenda) and their families, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers her wish would be for a donation to the PRF Foundation- a non-profit organization that steps in to help in time of crisis such as natural disasters and personal loss. This foundation was created in her honor, now her memory, to carry on her giving heart.
