Obituary for Ok Sun Strycharz
Ok Sun Strycharz was born January 2, 1938, in Mason, South Korea and passed away May 31, 2023, in Rosepine, Louisiana at the age of 85. She lived in San Antonio, Texas for about 20 years before moving to Leesville, Louisiana where she was active in the Korean Church. Ok Sun enjoyed cooking for her family and kimchi was her specialty. She loved animals and liked spending time outdoors gardening and just enjoying being outside.
Ok Sun was preceded in death by her parents.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 44 years, Joseph Walter Strycharz Jr. of Leesville;
son, Joseph Walter Strycharz III of Springfield, MO;
daughters, Patricia A. Strycharz of Leesville and Candice Rose Snyder and husband Matthew of San Antonio, TX;
and grandchildren, Lorraine, Carter, Brandon, and Ethan.
A memorial service for Ok Sun will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 10, 2023, at New Hope Ministries, 450 Entrance Road Leesville, LA 71446.
