Obituary for Nellie L. Allmon
Funeral services for Nell Allmon will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, July 3, 2017, at Good Hope Baptist Church, 774 Good Hope Road Anacoco, LA 71403, with Reverend Huey Haymon officiating under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service. Burial will follow in Good Hope Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Good Hope Baptist Church on Sunday, July 2nd and again from 8:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday.
Nell was born on November 24, 1929, and passed away on June 29, 2017, at the age of 87. She attended Anacoco High School and graduated from cosmetology school. After marrying, Nell was a homemaker and was an excellent seamstress who enjoyed making clothes for her family. Playing cards and dominoes, knitting, crocheting, and reading were all things that she enjoyed. Nell will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother.
Preceding her is death were her husband, George Allmon; her parents, Harvey Warden and Annie Prewitt; grandson Michael Shayne Berzins; sisters, Laverne Wyatt, Melba Elaine Jessop, and Bobbie Faye Tibbitts.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Linda (Jon) Davis of Leesville, LA
Stepdaughters: Cindy (Jimmy) Fetters and Georgeann (Scott) Morris of Kansas City, MO
Grandchildren: James Zane Day, Joseph Blayne Day, Michelle L. Davis, Jon Erik Davis, Michael E. Davis, Jeffery Fetters, Jason Fetters, Sean Morris, Brett Morris, and Quinn Morris
Great-granddaughter: Kayle Day
