Obituary for Nancy Elaine Welch
Funeral services for Nancy Elaine Spillers Welch will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 27, 2018, at Mt. Bethel Baptist Church with Reverends James Kay and Edwin McCullough. Burial will follow in the Mt. Bethel Cemetery under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service.
Visitation for Mrs. Welch will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 26th at Mt. Bethel and will continue until the service time on Wednesday.
Nancy was born on October 22, 1949, in Leesville, LA and passed away on June 24, 2018, in Alexandria, LA at the age of 68. She was a life-long resident of Vernon parish and a member of Mt. Bethel Church. Nancy enjoyed crocheting and loved to go camping. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.
Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Welch; parents, Ellis and Morine Spillers; brothers, Randall, Charles, Lester, and Alton Spillers; and grandson, Timothy James Phillips.

Daughters: LeAnn Self and Dana Phillips both of Anacoco, LA
Brothers: Bob Spillers and Harmon Spillers both of Leesville, LA
Sisters: Tommie Lou West and husband Jimmy of Hornbeck, LA and Brenda Jeane and husband James “Bit” of Leesville, LA
Thirteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren
and a host of extended family.
Pallbearers will be Max Self, Dakota Phillips, Austin Jeane, Kyle Medluy, Donald Martin, and Joey Harren.
Honorary pallbearers will be Robbie Ferguson and Travis Hillman.
Nancy’s family would like to extend a special thank you to Cheryl and Robert Ferguson for all of their help and love.
