Obituary for Myrtle Lee Burgess
Funeral services for Myrtle Lee Posey Singletary Burgess will be held on Friday, February 7, 2014 at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of Jeane's Funeral Service of Leesville with Robert "Bobby" Singletary officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery of Leesville under the care of Jeane's Funeral Service Visitation will start on Thursday, February 6, 2014 at 5:00 p.m. and close at 9:00 p.m. and then again at 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Mrs. Burgess lived in the Leesville area for most of her life and was a homemaker, loving mother, grandmother, and feisty Matriarch of the Singletary and Burgess family. She loved to have fun and live life to it's fullest and loved listening to country music and the swap shop. Preceding her in death were her parents, two brothers, a sister, and husbands, Elijah "Elmo" Singletary and Billy E. Burgess. Survivors include her brother: Kenneth Posey and Caroline of Pollock, LA Her Children: Gerald "Jerry" Singletary and Melissa of Trinity, TX Doris Needham and Jimmy of Hempstead, TX. Danny Singletary and Carol of Pickering, LA Howard "Peanut" Singletary and Karen of Ville Platte, LA Diane Merchant and David of Leesville, LA Charles "Chuck" Burgess and Darlene of Dayton, TX Billy Glynn Burgess and Shonda of Pickering, LA Mary Ann Conner and Robert of Leesville, LA Twenty Six grandchildren and host of great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews
