Obituary for Mr. Wayburn Bud Wilbanks
Funeral services for Adell Haymon Wilbanks will be held on Monday, Febuary 29, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at Flactor Baptist Church in Hicks, La with Reverends Huey Haymon and Joe Wellman officiating. Burial will follow in the Flactor Cemetery under the direction of Jeane's Funeral Service of Leesville. Visitation will begin on Sunday, February 28, 2016 beginning at 5:00 P.M. Until 10:00 P.M and from 8:00 A.M. till service time on Monday at the February Mrs Wilbanks was born on June 30, 1926 in Vernon Parish to Azzie and Jeana McKee Haymon and passed away on Friday, February 26, 2016 in Alexandria, Louisiana at the age of 89 yrs, 7 months and 28 days. She was a graduate of Evans High School and lived in the Hicks area for most of her life, where she along with her husband and family operated the Wilbanks dairy. She was a wonderful cook, having cooked many meals for her family and the community. She loved serving her Lord at Flactor Baptist Church where she was a faithful and devoted member having taught sunday school and being a member of the WMU. Working in her garden and being a wife, mother, grandmother, and mother in law brought her great joy. Preceding her in death was her husband of 67 years, Bud Wilbanks and her parents and several brothers and sisters. Three Daughters: Sylva Wellman and husband Joe ,Cynthia Chandler and husband William, Tammy McKenzie and husband Jerry all of Hicks, LA One son: Doylan Wilbanks and wife Kay of Hicks, LA Sisters: Ruby Thornton of DeRidder, La, Idell Hunter of Anacoco, La and Faye Littleton of Pickering, La. Brother: Hubert Haymon of Lafayette, La. Ten Grandchildren, Twenty Six Great Grandchildren, Five Great Great Grandchildren Pallbearers will be Brett Wellman, Patrick, Wellman, Michael Wellman, Brandon Wilbanks, Mike Beaubouef, Brad Chandler, and Heath Chandler Honorary Pallbearers: Yancy Chandler, Seth Wellman, Dustin Wellman and Chance Weatherford.
