Obituary for Monroe Tom Bass
Monroe “Tom” Bass, left this life on May 4, 2020 in Tioga, La. at the age of 87. Monroe was born August 17, 1932, in Leander Louisiana.
He is preceded in death by his parents Jack and Sylvia Bass, three sisters Ruby, Geraldine and Jolene Bass, as well as one very special Aunt Mary Lou Bass Poe.
He leaves a host of cousins, and friends behind to cherish his memory. Monroe was special in many ways. He liked to say he helped raise Patricia Ann Poe Robinson, Kyle Wayne Poe and Sally Poe Meade. He loved mowing grass, working outdoors and shooting fireworks on holidays. He also dearly loved to say the blessing and always asked God to “Bless His People”.
Pallbearers will be Raymond Robinson, Dawson Nolen, Ben Robinson, David Causey, Brad Lipps and Bill Smith.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Jim Meade, Alton Robinson and Robert Morrison.
The family would like to send a special Thanks to Pinecrest Home, Dormitory 4-11 Staff for loving and caring for Monroe for over 60 years. Monroe was the “Sheriff” of Pinecrest and would stop you if you were driving too fast.
Monroe will be missed, but he lives on in our hearts!
