Obituary for Milford (Pete) Jeane
Home Going services for Milford (Pete) Jeane will be held on Sunday, March 22, 2015, 11:00 AM, at the Burr Ferry Pentecostal Church with Rev. James Herrington officiating. Rev. Eddie Tilley and Rev. Ricky Wead will follow. Burial will follow at the Burr Ferry Cemetery, Hwy. 111, under the direction of Jeane"s Funeral Service. Visitation will be on Saturday, March 21, 2015, from 6:00-10:00PM at the church and then again on Sunday from 9:00AM until service time. Mr. Pete Jeane passed away at his residence on March 19, 2015, at the age of 82. He was born December 22, 1932, to Wilburn and Lola Shankle Jeane in Vernon Parish. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many. He retired from VPSB after 16 year as a school bus driver. He worked part time at Hernandez Farm Supply for several years. He loved taking care of his cows and farm. He was a member of Burr Ferry Pentecostal Church. Preceding him in death was his grandfather: Dr. JW Jeane, who started Burr Ferry Pentecostal Church in 1940, parents: Wilburn and Lola Jeane, brothers: Clyde and Jack Jeane, and sister: Jeanette White. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Gwendolyn Icker Jeane of Burr Ferry Daughters and sons-in-law: Brenda and Harvey Nash, Barbara and Rocky Jordan of Burr Ferry Sisters and brothers-in-law: Lillian McKee of Leesville, Marie and AB Kay of Leesville, Norma and Ed Cryer of Merryville, Faye West of Anacoco, Margie and Dick Pace of Waxahachie, TX Brothers: Rev. Malcolm Jeane of Burr Ferry, Jerald Jeane of Leesville, WL Jeane of Burr Ferry Grandchildren: Jason Nash, Aaron and Julianna Nash, David and Heather Nash, Tiffany and Marlon Gilcrease, Kelli and Brett Pennington, all from Burr Ferry Great-grandchildren: Tanner Nash, Trenton Nash, Madison Jordan, and Triniti Bridges, all from Burr Ferry Words of comfort may be extended to the family at www.jeanesfs.com
