Obituary for Michial Lee Gregg
A Celebration of Life will be held for Michial L. (Mike) Gregg Sr., of Hicks La. The service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at The Church House on Alexandria Hwy in Hicks, La., Pastor Lorraine Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery in Hicks, La.
Mike was born on October 6, 1943 to Willie (Bill) and Ada Reed Gregg. He was a graduate of Leesville High School and faithfully served his country in the United States Army. After serving in the military, Mike returned home and served his community, working and eventually retiring from the United States Postal Service.
Mike was a loving husband and father and adored his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He loved spending time with his best buddy, Mason, and they would spend their days fishing at the pond, mowing grass and watching his beloved Westerns together.
Mike was preceded in death by his loving wife, Linda Gregg, his son in law, Willie Allen, his parents Willie and Ada Gregg and sisters Billye Pegues, Kay Brown, and Theresa Ford.
He is survived by his children: Michial Gregg, Jr. (Tarah), Lori Allen, Patricia Hunnicutt, Rodney Hunnicutt (Carrie) and Beth Clark, his grandchildren: Jena, Brittin, Levi, Joshua, Mason, Madalyn, Annalisa (Madison), Ally (Zachary), Lauren, Bella, Kristina (Houston), Jessica (William), Jeffery, Sarah and great-grandchildren: Lindsley, Athena, Sean, Matthew, Kamryn, Ethan, Elijah, Riley, Christian, Lily and siblings Sue, Eva (Burnell) and Jerry.
Our family would like to extend our thanks to the Physicians, nursing and hospital staff of Byrd Regional Hospital, Elara Caring Home Health nurses and therapists and Hospice of Leesville. You have helped us tremendously and we will never be able to repay your kindness. May God continue to bless you. To our sweet church family at The Church House, words will never adequately describe the love that we have for each and every one of our brothers and sisters. Thank you for the prayers, texts and calls. Please continue to pray for our family as we learn to navigate life without Dad.
