Obituary for Michael Wayne Rose
Michael Wayne Rose was born November 22, 1959, in Holly Ridge, Louisiana and passed away April 25, 2022, in Leesville, Louisiana at the age of 62. He proudly served in the United States Army and was a resident of Vernon Parish for several years. For a time, he worked for Trans Ocean as a crane operator. Wayne enjoyed fishing and collecting junk iron. At times, he was a very determined man and loved good cooking. You could often find him outside keeping busy. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, and his grandchildren brought his much joy.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, George Enis Rose and Mary Lee “Judy” Wright Rose.
Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Justin Rose and wife Samantha of LaCamp, LA;
daughter, Jennifer Taylor and husband Jeffery of Leesville;
grandchildren, Callie, Olivia, & Tuck Rose and Logan, Luke, & Liam “Eli” Taylor;
brothers, Dale Rose and wife Sammay and Kenneth Rose;
sisters, Mary Ann Hartley and husband Timer and Glenda Sikes and husband Tommy;
and a host of extended family members and friends.
Funeral services for Wayne will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 29, 2022, at Laurel Hill Baptist Church with Reverend Josh Peoples officiating. Burial will follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service. Pallbearers will be Tommy Sikes, Lance Thompson, Carlos Underwood, Thomas Underwood, Billy Parton, and Jeff Taylor. Honorary pallbearers will be Logan Taylor, Luke Taylor, Liam “Eli” Taylor, and Tuck Rose. A visitation will be held at the church on Thursday, April 28th from 5:00 to 10:00 p.m.
