Obituary for Michael Thompson
Memorial services celebrating the life of Michael Sean Thompson will be held on Wednesday, February 10th, 2016, at 6:30 PM at the Word of Life Church, 185 Word of Life Church Rd., Hornbeck, LA with Pastor Gerald Leach, Bro. Brian Dalhoff, and Bro. Kolby Ganaway officiating. Michael was born August 18th, 1970, in Leesville, LA to Larry and Linda McKellar Thompson and passed away on February 8th, 2016 in Alexandria, LA at the age of 45 yrs. 5 mths and 21 days . He was a life resident of Vernon Parish and had attended Leesville High School. He worked as a dispatcher for DST of Ft. Polk for over 14 years. He enjoyed woodworking, shooting his guns, and loved his dogs, especially "NeNe". Michael was a member of Word of Life Church. Preceding him in death was his paternal grandparents, Clyde and Ola Mae Thompson, and his maternal grandparents, James McKellar, and Jessie Foshee McKellar Thompson, all of Rosepine. He leaves behind a loving family: wife, Sibil Tyrrell Thompson of Hornbeck, Step Daughter and son-in-law Sara Terrell Ganaway (Colby) of Leesville, daughter, Casey Michelle Thompson of Leesville, parents, Larry and Linda Thompson of Florien, sister, Tabatha Thompson Coleman of Natchitoches and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
