Obituary for Michael Marshall
Funeral services for Michael David Marshall will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2016, 12:00PM at the Silver Creek Baptist Church, Leesville, LA with Dr. Glen Cooley officiating. Burial will follow in Silver Creek Cemetery under the direction of Jeane"s Funeral Service. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2016, from 9:00AM until service time at Silver Creek Baptist Church. Michael was special. For 64 years until his death on January 13, 2016 he carried his simple childlike faith with him wherever he went. He loved everyone, and everyone loved Mike. He died at his home in Zachary, LA, where he was under care at Louise Davis Residential Facilities. Mike was a member of Silver Creek Baptist Church in Leesville, LA, where he was laid to rest on Saturday. Mike is survived by his sisters Barbara Pittman of Baker, LA, and Wanda Lawless of DeBerry, TX his brother-in-law Rayford West of Leesville, LA, and maternal uncle William Boyter of Houston, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie and Grady Marshall, brothers Charles Marshall and Glenn Marshall, and his sister Mary West. Special thanks to the staff at LDRF: Sherie Wright, Brett Thompson, Nathasha Johnson, Sherrill Jolla, and Leon Moore, for their care of Mike in his final years.
