Obituary for Michael Mango
Michael A. Mango Sr. passed from this life Wednesday, April 19th at his home in Leesville. He was born on April 7, 1958 at a hospital in Germany while his father was serving in the U.S. Army. He was the son of Patrick and Charlotte Mango. He married his wife of 32 years on December 15th 1984.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Cheryl Wilson Mango, his son Michael Mango Jr. of Leesville, two daughters Tiffany Mango of Lafayette, LA, and Jessica Mango of Leesville, one granddaughter, Kennedi Hood of Leesville, three brothers Joe (Joyce) Mango of Many, LA, Dominic Mango of Leesville, and David Mango of Many, LA, along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Bill Mango and Johnny Mango, his sister Patty Rivera and his nephews Joey Mango and Jeff Ratigan.
In addition to his own children, Michael played an instrumental role in the lives of Sharon Warren Harper, Karen Wilson Ralston and Shelby Nichols Pardue who he considered to be his “honorary children”.
The visitation will be held Friday, April 21st at Jeane’s Funeral Home in Leesville from 5-9 P.M. The memorial service will be Saturday, April 22nd at East Leesville Baptist Church, 266 Alexandria Hwy, Leesville at 2 P.M. Jerry Jeane and Rev. John Northway will be officiating, along with a message read by family friend, Teresa Wilson. A special thanks to the staff at Hospice of Leesville for their quick and passionate care.
