Graveside services for Ms. Merline Coleman will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2020, at Old Leesville Cemetery under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service.
Visitation will be held at Jeane’s Funeral Service Chapel on Saturday, July 11, 2020, from 10:00AM-10:45 AM.
Merline Coleman was born on April 12, 1936 to Jack Foster and Gardie B. James in Gibsland, LA. She passed away on June 24, 2020, in Leesville, LA at the age of 83. Ms. Merline had a very humble spirit and loved to talk. She was a stylish lady that loved her jewelry and red fingernails. She was very caring and raised many children in the community besides her own. One of her favorite quotes was “You have to forgive to be forgiven.”. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, aunt and friend that will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Gardie B. James, and son, Willie Coleman.
She is survived by her son, Frank Coleman, Jr. (Ronnie) of Cameron, LA
daughters, Delores Thomas of Leesville, LA, Diane Johnson of Leesville, LA, and Theresa Coleman of Baton Rouge
brother, Herman James and Elmer James (Dale)
a host of grandchildren, nieces and nephews
