Obituary for Melvin John Wolfe
A graveside service for Melvin John Wolfe will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 12, 2017, at the Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, 3348 University Parkway Leesville LA 71446, under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 11, 2017, at Jeane’s Funeral Service, 100 E. Union St. Leesville, LA 71446.
Melvin was born on September 14, 1938, and passed away on June 8, 2017, at the age of 78. He was born in Alma, MI and retired in Leesville, LA after serving in the Army for 20 years. Melvin worked in quality control at Fort Polk after that. He did some carpentry work, but Melvin mostly loved to be outside hunting, fishing, or gardening.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Kendall L. and Martha Wells Wolfe of Alma, MI and two brothers, Don Wolfe and James Wolfe.
Left the cherish his memory are his wife, Ursula Wolfe of Leesville, LA
Daughters: Dawn Collins and husband Darran of Simpson, LA and Donna Westmoreland of Leesville, LA
Sons: Reese David Ward of Holland, MI and Thomas Scott Perkins of Leesville, LA
Sister: Arlene Kipp of Carson City, MI
Grandchildren: Katelyn Collins, Emily Collins, and Danielle Westmoreland
