Obituary for Melba Nadine Jackson
Funeral services for Melba Nadine Temple Jackson will be held on Friday, October 9, 2020, 10:00 AM at Simpson Church of God, with Bro. Bob Schlemmer and Sis. Carol Adams officiating. Burial will follow in Welcome Cemetery under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service.
Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM until time of service on Friday, at Simpson Church of God, Simpson, LA.
Melba Nadine Temple Jackson was born on November 19, 1923, in Vernon Parish, LA to Thomas Jefferson and Sarah Elizabeth Jackson Temple. She passed away on October 6, 2020, at her home in Simpson, LA at the age of 96. She grew up and lived all her life in Vernon Parish. She was a graduate of Simpson High School. She took pride in her yard and kept it immaculate; she was continually out working, picking up sticks and sweet gum balls. She was a beloved mother and grandmother that will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Sarah Jackson, and husband, FK Jackson.
She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Pope and husband Joseph, of Simpson, LA
son, Thomas K Jackson and wife Sada, of Simpson, LA
grandchildren, Chris Pope, Dina Stamey, Teresa Roberts, and John Jackson
