Obituary for Melba Jessop
Funeral services for Melba Elaine Jessop will be held on Wednesday, October 7, 2015, 11:00AM at the Good Hope Baptist Church, Anacoco, LA, with Rev. Wayne Chance officiating. Burial will follow in Good Hope Baptist Cemetery under the direction of Jeane�s Funeral Service. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 6, 2015, beginning at 4:00PM until service time on Wednesday at Good Hope Baptist Church, Anacoco, LA. Ms. Jessop was born on August 10, 1935, in Vernon Parish and passed away at the age of 80 in Alexandria, LA. She was a lifelong resident of Leesville, LA. Melba was a homemaker and a former member of the Eastern Star of New York. She loved to shop, read, and spend time with her family. She adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was of the Pentecostal faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Annie Prewitt Warden, husband, Richard, son, James �Floyd� Jessop, brother, Ed Prewitt, and sisters, Larerne Wyatt and Bobby Faye Tibbitts. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara and husband Dwayne Moore of Slagle, LA Sister: Nell Allmon of Leesville, LA Grandchildren: Brandie and husband Robert Blackwell of Leesville, LA, and Shannon and husband, LP Borders of Slagle, LA Great-Grandchildren: Hannah and Emily Blackwell, and Harper Borders Words of comfort may be extended to the family at www.jeanesfs.com.
