Obituary for Mary Lou Gosnell
A funeral service for Mary Lou Williams Gosnell will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 24, 2017, at East Leesville United Pentecostal Church, 197 Alexandria Highway Leesville, LA 71446, with Reverends Jimmy Toney and Ricky Wead officiating under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service. Burial will follow in the Cooper Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. on March 23, 2017, at Jeane’s Funeral Service, 100 E. Union St. Leesville, LA 71446.
Mary was born on August 11, 1942, and passed away on March 21, 2017, at the age of 74. Mary was a family-oriented lady and was a devoted homemaker to her family. She loved to play games, volunteer at the Salvation Army Store, and was a long-time member of TOPS. Mary sewed baby quilts for all of her grandchildren and for many of her great grandchildren. Her family was her greatest love, and her grandchildren called her “MawMaw Lou”. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Mary will be truly missed.
Preceding her in death were her parents - Robert Lee Williams and Rosa Anna Cole, her brother – Dallas “Sonny” Williams, and her sisters – June Breaux and Sue Toney.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of fifty-seven years – Claude Gosnell of Leesville, LA
Son: Wade Gosnell of Leesville, LA
Daughters: Veronica Warwick and husband Daniel, Charlotte Hood and husband Michael, and Dora Tracy and husband Andy all of Leesville, LA
Sister: Maggie Hickman and husband George of Leesville, LA
Grandchildren: Timothy Langlois, Anthony Stracner and wife Shana, Jennifer Berzas, Stephanie Miller and husband Kevin, Maggie Ellis and husband Chris, Samantha Anable and husband Charlie, Kayla Gonzalez and husband Erik, Tyler Hood, Dallas Hennis, and honorary granddaughter Audrey Coward.
Great grandchildren: Violet Langlois, Owen and Rylan Stracner, Cameron and Brylan Bergas, Bradley, Lance, and Cooper Miller, Ashton, Levi, and Lucas Ellis, Aubree and Gracie Anable, Jordyn, Madisyn, and Noah Gonzalez
A host of nieces, nephews, and extended family
Pallbearers will be Erik Gonzalez, Charlie Anable, Tyler Hood, Bradley Miller, Chris Ellis, and Michael Hood.
Honorary pallbearer will be Daniel Warwick.
