Obituary for Mary Ella Erickson
A graveside service for Mary Ella Erickson will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 15, 2020 in Evans Community Cemetery with Reverend George Jeane officiating under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service.
Mary was born June 4, 1937 in Evans, LA and passed away April 11, 2020 in Leesville, LA at the age of 82. She lived in both Evans and Kilgore, TX and was a member of Galilee Baptist Church. Mary was a devoted Christian lady who enjoyed music, dancing, watching soccer, and loving on her dog, Lula Bell. Mary was blessed with an abundance of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren whom she loved with all her heart.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bob” Erickson; parents, Connie Franklin and Annie Elvin Jarrell; siblings, Annie Alice Fairley, Joyce Faye Gandy, and Loyce K. “Casey” Jarrell; granddaughters, Christy Strickland and Jessica Cole; great grandson, Harley Chance Clark; and son-in-law, Tommy Shelton.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Linda Patterson and husband Wayne of Evans, LA; Billy Chrisman and wife Marla of Kilgore, TX; and Sherri Shelton of Kilgore, TX,
grandchildren, Leah, Felicia, Christy, Jason, Terra, Sandi, Kasey, Brandon Jarrell, and Jessica,
great grandchildren, Justin, Josh, Mark, Boo-Boo, Kylee, Zachary, Haili, Walker, Kelsey, Madison, Harley, Brennon, Ty, Taylor, Hailee, Hunter, Harper, Kelsey, Jenna, Mason, Alexa, Trenton, Kelli, Colby, and Gage,
great-great grandchildren, Xoey, Hayden, Jayden, Jedidiah, Ashton, and Kaceson,
and a host of extended family.
Pallbearers will be Alfred Smith, James Hayes, Justin Smith, James “Boo-Boo” Hayes, Joshua Hayes, and Zachary Strickland. Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Hayes and Wayne Patterson.
