Obituary for Mary Dale West
Funeral services for Mary Dale Marshall West will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2015, at 10:00 AM at Silver Creek Baptist Church, 950 Silver Creek, Leesville, LA with Bro. Terry McDonald, Bro. Klay Harrison, and Dr. Glen Cooley officiating. Burial will follow in the Silver Creek Cemetery under the direction of Jeane"s Funeral Service. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 4, 2015, at Silver Creek Baptist Church from 11:00 AM until time of service on Tuesday. Mary Dale Marshall West was born on June 16, 1935, to Johnnie and Grady Mae Marshall and passed away on May 1, 2015 at the age of 79 peacefully at home in Leesville, LA. She was a native of Montrose, LA and a 1954 graduate of Pineville High School. She married the love of her life after graduation and moved to Leesville, LA. She worked as a nurse aid for the former Broyles Clinic, Bayne Jones Community Hospital, and Kurthwood Manor. She was a faithful member of Silver Creek Baptist Church for 60 years and served as the song director, church clerk, and church hostess. She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnnie and Grady Mae Marshall, two brothers: Charles William Marshall, Glen Edward Marshall, and granddaughter, Sabra Erin West. She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, William Rayford West, SR, of Leesville, LA Daughter: Diane Smart of Leesville, LA Sons: Bill West, Ricky and Heather West, Dean and Bonnie Stanley, all of Leesville, LA Grandchildren: Ian and Terry McDonald, Asa and Klay Harrison, Chance and Lyndsey West, Justin and Lensie Stanley, Ben Stanley, Laura Stanley, Brittney Erwin, Aerial Erwin, and Shay and Jennifer Harland Great Grandchildren: J"den and Judah Harrison, Nathan, Joseph, and Luke McDonald, Jaxon and Sawyer West, Emily Erwin, Katie and Dillon Stanley, Ryan and Caroline Harland Brother: Mike Marshall of Baton Rouge, LA Sisters: Barbara Jean Pittman of Baton Rouge, LA and Wanda Lee Lawless of De Berry, TX Sister-in-law: Penny Marshall Uncle: Billy Boyter Host of nephews, nieces and friends.
