Obituary for Marvin Dixon
A visitation for the family of Marvin Dixon will be held from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Monday, July 9, 2018, at Jeane’s Funeral Service.
Mr. Dixon was born on March 23, 1951, and passed away on July 4, 2018, at the age of 67. He was born in Lubbock, Texas and served in the United States Air Force. Marvin worked several different jobs including being a heavy equipment operator and a tree planter. For a time, he worked at Fort Polk and at the Boise Paper Mill in Florien. He enjoyed hunting ducks and following Nascar. Marvin especially enjoyed shooting his guns.
Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Hazel Dixon.

Daughter: Betsy Mae Dixon of Leesville, LA
Brothers: Melvin Dixon and wife Margaret of Hicks, LA and Eugene Dixon and wife Karen of Shreveport, LA
Sister: Barbara Dean of Colorado Springs, CO
Grandchildren: Alexis Marie Hicks, Sean Michael Bell, Lori Dixon, Devon Dixon, and Elizebeth Dixon
Special friends: Ruth Ann Martin and Amanda Gaskin
