Obituary for Marlin Gerald Hunt
Funeral services for Marlin Gerald Hunt will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at Jeane’s Funeral Service, 100 E. Union St. Leesville, LA with Reverend Paul Horskey officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in John C. White Cemetery under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service. A visitation will be held at Jeane’s on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
Marlin was born March 9, 1953 in Pineville, LA and passed away March 10, 2021 in Baton Rouge, LA at the age of 68. He served in the United States Air Force and was a hard-working man who worked for many years as a paint contractor. Marlin was a member of Life Tabernacle Pentecostal Church and enjoyed traveling. His family and friends were important to him and liked to joke and have a good time. He was blessed with a kind heart and was a caregiver as well.
Marlin was preceded in death by his parents, Everette Douglas Hunt and Georgia Mae White Hunt and eight brothers, Douglas, Donald, Johnny, Roger, Archie, David, Troy, and E.J. Hunt.
Left to cherish his memory are his sons, James Hunt and wife Crystal and Jason Hunt and wife Laura,
daughter, Shelly Jourbert,
brother, Edward Hunt and wife Linda,
sisters, Margie Gilbert and Mary Logsdon and husband Mark,
grandchildren, J.T. and Parker Hunt,
sisters-in-law, Patricia, Ginger, Patsy, and Francis Hunt,
and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Pallbearers will be Mark Logsdon, Jonathan Logsdon, Jay Robinson, and Terry Marsh.
