Obituary for Marie Ethelee "Ethel" Fontenot Guillory
Funeral services for Marie Ethelee “Ethel” Fontenot Guillory will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 9, 2018, at Mt. Bethel Baptist Church with Reverend Richard Partridge officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Bethel Cemetery under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service.
The family of Mrs. Guillory invites friends to a visitation at Mt. Bethel from 5:00 to 10:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 8th and again from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service on Monday.
Ethel was born on April 17, 1933, and passed away on July 6, 2018, at the age of 85. She worked for many years as a custodian at Pickering Elementary and as a cook at the Old Byrd Hospital and Leesville General Hospital. Ethel loved animals and attended many animal auctions where she bought a variety of pets and farm animals.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Aliday and Carrie Fontenot; two brothers; granddaughter, Crystal Cook; five great grandchildren; and son-in-law, Donald Dailey.
