Obituary for Margie Rae LaCombe Doyle
Funeral services for Margie Rae LaCombe Doyle will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 15, 2019, at Good Hope Baptist Church with Reverend Wesley Jackson and Tinker Hillman officiating. Burial will follow in the Good Hope Cemetery under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service. A visitation time for the family and friends of Mrs. Doyle will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 14th at Good Hope and will continue until the time of service.
Mrs. Doyle was born on December 16, 1938, and passed away on September 12, 2019, at the age of 80. She was a lifelong resident of Vernon Parish and for many years worked at Hodge’s Gardens in the rose gardens. Then for over twenty years, she worked in the food and nutrition department at Byrd Hospital. Mrs. Doyle enjoyed gardening at her home and could grow almost anything. She also enjoyed collecting angels and watching hummingbirds and was a life member of the DAV Auxiliary Jack Redell Unit 20. Mrs. Doyle was very family oriented and loved to just visit with people. She had three grandchildren and two great grandchildren that she loved very much.
Mrs. Doyle was preceded in death by her husband, Ervin Doyle, infant daughter, Linda Doyle, and parents, Henry LaCombe and Edna Lois Farmer LaCombe.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Tracy Lynette Doyle Perkins and husband Rocky of Leesville, LA and Glenda Louise Doyle Lockridge and husband Curtis of Laneville, TX
sisters, Thelma Barnes of Mt. Vernon, Missouri and Sudie P. Howze and husband Bob of West Monroe, LA
grandchildren, James Lockridge and wife Angela of Laneville, TX, D’Ambra Perkins of Broussard, LA, and Devyn Perkins of Orange, TX
great grandchildren, Raynee Lockridge and Kurt “Bodie” Lockridge both of Laneville, TX
and a host of extended family.
Pallbearers will be Rocky Perkins, Rodney Self, Devyn Perkins, James Lockridge, Raynee Lockridge, and Keith Barnes.
Honorary pallbearers will be Edward Doyle Kennith Doyle, Daniel Doyle, and Adam Martin.
