Obituary for Maire Boado
Memorial services honoring the life of Maire Irmeli Boado will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2016, 10:00 AM, at St. Michael The Archangel Catholic Church, 604 South 5th St., Leesville, LA with Father Kenneth Michiels officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM on Saturday morning. Maire Irmeli Enquist Boado was born on April 17, 1936 in Heisinki, Finland, to Eijas and Sigrid Enguist. She passed away on May 10, 2016, at her home in Leesville, LA, at the age of 80. She had memories of the Russian and German planes flying over her farmhouse during World War II. She became a pediatric nurse as a way to explore the world after the war. She eventually became the nanny to the children of the Army Commander in Paris. This is where she met her husband, Emilio, who was the driver for the General. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who always found the time to help others in her community. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Emilio of Leesville, LA Son: Richard and wife Pennie of St. Peters, MO Daughter: Maria and husband Jeff of Castle Rock, CO Grandchildren: Richard II and Brittanie Great-Grandson: Richard III The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Vernon Council on Aging.
