Obituary for Lula Floyce Midkiff Holt
Lula Floyce Midkiff Holt was born November 2, 1943, in Cottonwood, Louisiana and passed away April 13, 2022, in Lake Charles, Louisiana at the age of 78. She was a member of Lily Pentecostal Church and lived in the Cottonwood Community. Digging for arrowheads was something Lula truly enjoyed, and she also liked to work in her yard planting flowers.
Lula was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Holt; parents, Elbert Midkiff Sr. & Alma McKee Midkiff; and siblings, Stella Ann Cryer, Edna Vernier, Glen Midkiff, and Elbert Midkiff Jr.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Marcus Holt of Cottonwood;
grandchildren, Kylee Dyson and husband Tyler, Landry Holt, and Maycee Holt all of Pickering, LA;
brothers, Carl Midkiff and wife Guinell of Burr Ferry, LA and Paul Midkiff and wife Dianne of Sugartown, LA;
and a host of extended family members.
