Luke Hamilton Hadnot, Jr., was born in Leesville, LA, on November 28, 1938, the son of Luke Hamilton Hadnot and Gladys Barnhill Hadnot. After a short illness he died on September 10, 2018. He is survived by three sons, Luke Hamilton Hadnot III, his wife, DeAnna, and their two children, Cole Hamilton Hadnot and Ila Kathleen Hadnot; Thomas Jackson Hadnot and his two children, Dalan Edward Hadnot and Reese Jackson Hadnot; and Clayton Lee Hadnot, his wife, Ruth, and their three children, Clayton Lee Hadnot, Jr., Dean Collier Hadnot, and Natalie Taylor Hadnot; and one sister, Gladys Hadnot Hooker, her daughter Kim, son-in-law Sean Ballesteros, and their son, Lyle.
Mr. Hadnot is an alumnus of Leesville High School and attended LSU and McNeese State University. He served for most of his adult life as a United States Army officer, and as a Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Deputy and Police Officer in Westlake, LA.
Mr. Hadnot was proud of teaching himself to do electrical installation, plumbing, woodworking, and metal fabrication. He could build or repair almost anything and spent many happy and productive hours in the workshop that he himself built.
Interment will be at 1:00 pm., at the Leesville Cemetery on Wednesday, September 12, under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service.
