Obituary for Lucy Lee Phillips
Funeral services for Lucy Lee Phillips will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 13, 2021, at Canaan Baptist Church with Reverend Morris Goins officiating. Burial will follow in Canaan Cemetery under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service. A visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
Lucy was born April 12, 1946, in Vidor, TX and passed away August 9, 2021, in Baton Rouge, LA at the age of 75. She lived in Vernon Parish most of her life and worked hard to provide a loving home for her family. Lucy was head strong and spoke her mind but loved her family and her dog Ivy with all of her heart. She enjoyed puzzle books and watching TV, but most of all, Lucy enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s events. They were her pride and joy.
Lucy was preceded in death by her parents, R.C. Aden and Lucy Permilia Williams and siblings, Doris Paskall and R.C. Aden Jr.
Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 45 years, Albert Sid Phillips of Leesville;
sons, Donald Carter (Sue), Carl Carter, Albert Eli Phillips (Tammie), and Tommy Joe Phillips (Melissa) all of Leesville;
daughter, Permilia Williams (Jim) of Leesville;
brother, Donald Aden (Opal) of Hornbeck, LA;
sister, Faye LaSalle of Sulphur, LA;
stepbrothers, Ronald, James, Lacy, and Raymond Aden;
grandchildren, Natisha Simmons (Larry), Cody Phillips, Joseph Phillips, Destiny Carter, Jason Phillips, Jolee Phillips, Michelle Williams, Shaylee Phillips, Marlee Phillips, and James Williams;
great grandchildren, Braxton Simmons, Noah Phillips-Grindstaff, Emily Phillips, and Holden Blanchard;
and a host of extended family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Cody Phillips, Joseph Phillips, Jim Williams, James Williams. Sean Blanchard, Joshua Bridges, Larry Simmons, and Merrick McNeil.
