Obituary for Lucas Dale Wilson
Funeral services for Lucas Dale Wilson will be held on April 23, 2019, at 11:00 AM at Cooper Baptist Church, Leesville, LA with Rev. Edgar Evans officiating. Burial will follow in Cooper Cemetery under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 22, 2019, from 5:00PM – 9:00PM at Cooper Baptist Church.
Lucas Dale Wilson was born on December 3, 1944 in Deridder, LA to Lucas and Nina Wilson. He passed away on April 20, 2019, in Leesville, LA at the age 74. He graduated from Pickering High School and served his country in United States Air Force during the Vietnam conflict. He was an avid LSU and New Orleans Saints fan. He loved to watch Nascar and football. He retired from the civil service and then worked overseas in Kuwait. He enjoyed his cows and spending time outside caring for them. Most of all, he loved spending time with his grandkids and great grandkids. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Evelyn Ross, Doris Brumley, and Saundra Brumley and brother, James Wilson.
He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Betty Lou Wilson of Leesville, LA
son, Michael Wilson and wife Kary of Leesville, LA
daughter, Missy Crittenden of Leesville, LA
sister, Ramona “Busy” Vinson
grandchildren, Jennifer, Allison, Ryan, Melanie, and Collin
