Obituary for Louise Ophelia Jeter
Funeral services for Louise Ophelia Jeter will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 5, 2018, at Flactor Baptist Church with Reverend Huey Haymon officiating. Burial will follow in the Flactor Cemetery under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service.
Visitation for the family and friends of Mrs. Jeter will be held from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 4th at Flactor Baptist Church and again from 12:00 until the time of service on Sunday.
Mrs. Jeter was born on September 27, 1949, in Oakdale, LA and passed away on August 2, 2018, at the age of 68. She worked for over 12 years for the Vernon Parish School Board in food management. Mrs. Jeter was a member of Flactor Baptist Church, and she enjoyed gardening, sewing, and dancing. Her family was the most important thing to her, and she loved spending time with them.
Mrs. Jeter was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph C. Jeter, parents D.C. and Lucille Maddox, and sister Virginia Rose Landry.

Daughters: Billye Jo Gordon and Trinia Louise Hutton both of Hicks, LA
Brother: Douglas Maddox and wife Nancy of Haughton, LA
Grandchildren: Brenden Thomas Jeter of Camp Baker, LA; Carmen Mechelle Jeter; Allison Grace Jeter; and Madelyn Claire Jeter all of Hicks, LA
