Obituary for Lori Lee Hudson
Lori Lee Hudson passed from this life on her pathway to heaven on December 31, 2022.
She was born in Munich, Germany and spent most of her life in Leesville, La. Lori graduated with two degrees from Northwestern State University and had her Plus 30. Lori was also in college ROTC with rank of Lieutenant.
In her career she was a Probation Parole Officer with the Department of Corrections Division of Probation and Parole in Madison Parish.
Lori was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church.
She was passionate about music, poetry, and writing of poetry, and enjoyed many board and card games. She was quite proficient in Scrabble and Upwords. In the field of arts and crafts she made beautiful and unique wood burnings as well as a variety of interesting objects of art.
To insure that her funeral would be a lighthearted occasion, Lori planned every detail to match her optimistic, cheerful spirit.
She was predeceased by her mother, Edda Tosta Maria Talocchi Hudson Catanzaro; stepfather, Samuel Catanzaro; maternal grandparents, Enzo Taloochi and Marie Bice Talocchi; and two uncles, Carlo Talocchi and Vitorio Taloochi.
Living members are her sister, Pearl Nadia Pia Hudson Menard; nieces Jennifer Menard Widdon and Danielle Leigh Menard; great-nieces and nephews, DeVon Isaac Klesko, Madison Klesko, Mathew Smith, Tori Laughlin, and Alexis Fuller; and great-great nephew, Asrael Klesko.
Last, but certainly not least, is her baby and best friend, her maltipoo, Toto.
A memorial mass for Lori Lee Hudson will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Leesville, LA with Father Michiels officiating. A rosary will begin at 9:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service.
