Obituary for Lloyd Aaron Powell
Funeral services for Lloyd Aaron Powell will be held on Monday, June 13, 2022, at Simpson First Assembly of God, at 10:00 AM, with Brother Tully Burns officiating. Burial will follow at Welcome Cemetery under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 12, 2022, at Simpson First Assembly of God from 5:00 – 9:00PM.
Lloyd Aaron Powell was born on December 14, 1978, to Oliver Lloyd and Darnell Nelms Powell in Deridder, LA. He passed away on June 7, 2022, at the age of 43 in Leesville, LA. He was a 1997 graduate of Simpson High School. Aaron liked to always keep his hands busy. He loved to build things and had a gift for fixing broken things. He enjoyed tinkering with electronics and motors and watching the NBA, but his favorite team was the Los Angeles Lakers. He liked to garden and loved his dogs. Aaron had a very caring heart.
He was preceded in death by his father, Oliver Lloyd Powell.
He is survived by his mother, Darnell Powell of Slagle,
sister, Sandra Wellman (Patrick),
niece, Jade Myers (Kyle),
nephews, Dylan Thompson (Kayton), and Conner Wellman,
3 great nieces and 1 great nephew.
