Obituary for Linda Sue Burke Mitchell
Funeral services for Linda Sue Burke Mitchell will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at Pine Hill Baptist Church with Reverends Tri Evans and Paul Piro officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service. A visitation time for the family and friends of Mrs. Mitchell will be held at the church on Monday, December 2nd from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Linda was born March 18, 1952 and passed away November 30, 2019 at the age of 67. She worked for about 25 years first as a Certified Nursing Assistant then as a Direct Service Worker. Linda worked at the Woodlands and at Leading Health Care. She enjoyed watching TV, cooking, and animals. Most of all, Linda loved her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James “Jim” Burke and Mary Evelyn Kelley Burke, four brothers, one sister, and granddaughter, Willow Rain Burke.
Left to cherish Linda’s memory are her sons, Richard Eugene Burke and wife Michelle of Arkansas, Cecil Wade Allen, Terry Lynn Allen and wife Trish, and Thomas Shane Allen and wife GiGi all of Leesville, LA,
nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.
