Obituary for Linda Faye Dew Ferkovich
Funeral services for Linda Faye Dew Ferkovich will be on Sunday, February 11, 2024, at 3:00PM at Pisgah Baptist Church with Bro. Kelly officiating. Burial will follow at Pisgah Cemetery under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service.
Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2:00PM until time of service.
Linda was born on Tuesday, January 18, 1949, in Many, LA. Linda grew up in Toro community and she attended Pisgah school. Her dedication as an administrator at Fort Polk, and the raising of her four children led her to many years of great memories all over the country. Traveling, fishing, and laughter with family and friends were her greatest passions.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Lee Ferkovich, her two sons, Hardy Parker, and Donnie and wife Darla Parker, granddaughter, Dana Parker; parents, Luther Fred Dew and Elsie Eleanor (Martin) Dew.
She is survived by her two daughters, Chrissy Parker Crites, and husband, Gary, of Nevada, TX, and Lenora Ferkovich Dixon, Florien, LA; brother, Benny Joe Dew, Florien, LA, and sister, Marilyn Dew Browning of Natchitoches, LA; 10 grandchildren, Dusti, Cassie, Courtney, Lacee, Melody, Grace, Kayli, Meghan, Daniel, and Tristan; along with a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
Pallbearers will be Jose Vazquez, Brennan Sims, Larry Creamer, Bradley LaCombe, Michael English and Beaux Wagner.
