Obituary for Linda Causey Williams
A funeral mass for Linda Causey Williams will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 8, 2023, at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church. The burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service. The pallbearers will be Jackie Self, Asa Skinner, Ricky Reese, Kevin Magee, John Skaggs, and Ron Williams.
A visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and again on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
Linda was born April 7, 1951, in Leesville, Louisiana and passed away in Leesville on July 4, 2023, at the age of 72. For over 20 years she was a junior high school teacher mainly in Vernon Parish. Golf was her passion, and she was involved in tennis as an officiant at tournaments and college tennis matches. She liked to stay physically fit and was an excellent cook. Linda took pleasure in organizing gatherings for her family and friends. Taking care of her family and grandchildren was Linda’s main priority, and she fully supported her daughter, Amy, when she played tennis.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Huey Pierce Causey & Betty Jean Danzy Causey and brother, Rodger Dale Causey.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 35 years, James Williams of Leesville, LA;
daughter, Amy Catherine Williams (Michael Gargin) of South Orange, NJ;
grandchildren, Avery Clare Gargin and Rory Virginia Gargin;
sister, Brenda Causey Skaggs (John) of San Antonio, TX;
nieces and nephews, Denise Causey (Stefanie Brown), Mark Williams (Kelley), Deena Williams, Ryan Williams (Rebecca), Sean Williams, and Collin Williams (Camille);
and extended family members.
