Obituary for Lillian Jane Lewis Jackson
Funeral services honoring the life of Lillian Jane Lewis Jackson will be held on Monday, September 27, 2021, at 10:00 AM at Simpson Baptist Church with Dr. Pete Keough and Dr. Jeremy Blocker officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Island Cemetery under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 26, 2021, from 6:00PM-8:00PM at Simpson Baptist Church.
Lillian Jane Lewis Jackson was born on January 1, 1932 in Shreveport, LA to Henry and Fannie Lewis. She passed away on September 24, 2021, in Leesville, LA at the age of 89 years 8 months and 23 days. Lillian was a member of Simpson Baptist Church and served in many different areas. She looked forward to helping out every year in vacation bible school. She loved her Sunday School class and was the missionary representative. She enjoyed playing games and reading. She was a wonderful wife, momma, and homemaker. She was a loving MawMaw who loved her grandchildren dearly.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elwood Jackson, parents, Henry and Fannie Lewis, brothers, Freddie and Henry Lewis, and her twin brother, sisters, Lois Sission and Marry Lou Dauzet, grandson, Travis Doherty, son in laws, Jerry Bynog and Billy Doherty, nephew, Jerry Ross and great grandson, Justin Morris Bynog II.
She is survived by her sons, David Jackson, Robert Jackson (Pat), and Kenneth Jackson all of Simpson, and William Jackson (Janet) of Hicks,
daughters, Kathryn Bynog of Temple, LA, and Sandra Doherty of Simpson,
sister, Hazel Ross Hilton,
grandchildren, Robert Jackson, Romona Jackson, Timothy Jackson, Jennie Barton, April Bynog, Stacey Brown, Justin Bynog, Joseph Bynog, Steven Doherty, Billy Doherty, Judith Gambino, Alora Wilson, and Alana Parr.
