Obituary for Lester Scott Keys
Our Heavenly Father called Lester Scott Keys, 58, home to be with him on Thursday, December 10, 2020. Lester was born on March 24, 1961, in Lake Charles, Louisiana. He was a beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew, and friend. Raised in Leesville, La, Lester was a 1981 graduate of Leesville High School. He attended McNeese State University. It was there he developed a love for finance and became a long-time tax professional for H&R Block for 23 years. Lester was an avid football fan. He was a HUGE fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and loved Pat Mahomes and Tyreek Hill. A computer geek at heart, Lester loved building, fixing, and tinkering with computers. He loved his family and spent his days caring for others.
Lester is preceded in death by his father, Robert James Johnson and sister, Katrina Keys.
He is survivedby his mother, Katherine Keys, his brother Eric Keys (Kim), and sister Matricia Keys; nephews Eric (Courtney), James, and Jeffrey Keys; nieces Erin, Camryn, and Kathryn Keys; great-niece Isabella Keys; and a host of uncles, aunts, and cousins.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions and the concern for the health of others, we will have a small graveside service held at Leesville Memorial Cemetery on Monday, December 21, 2020 at 11:00 AM. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Jeane’s Funeral Home.
