Obituary for Leadford Lee Walters
Funeral services for Leadford Lee Walters will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 15, 2018, at Camp Eight United Pentecostal Church with Reverend Sam Russell officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service.
The family of Mr. Walters invites family and friends to a visitation from 5:00 to 10:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 14th at Camp Eight United Pentecostal Church and again from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Sunday.
Mr. Walters was born on December 21, 1938, and passed away on July 13, 2018, at the age of 79. He served in the United States Air Force before returning to live in Otis, LA. Throughout his lifetime, Mr. Walters was a self-employed cattleman, and along with his wife, Altha, owned and operated L & A Discount in Otis. He loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Mr. Walters was preceded in death by his wife, Altha Walters; parents, Robert Lee Walters and Pearlie Mae Walters; and two brothers, Roger and Tyrone Walters.
Left to cherish their memories of him are his son, Michael Walters and fiancée Ashley Hall of Otis, LA
Daughter: Karen Walters of Otis, LA
Grandchildren: Katelyn, Payton, and Andrew Walters.
Pallbearers will be Mark Fredieu, Chris Holt, Nelon Meylian, Calvin Johnson, Mike Bailey, and Carroll Dyess.
Honorary pallbearers will be Elmo Townley and Earl Howard.
