Obituary for Laura JoAnn Brack
Funeral services for Laura JoAnn Brack will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at Jeane’s Funeral Service, 100 E. Union St. Leesville, LA, with Reverend Claire Baker officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Springs Cemetery under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service. Pallbearers will be Joseph Peavy, Braydon Brack, Aaron Turner, Bobby Jenkins Jr., Jase Dunn, and Anthony Stracener. Honorary pallbearer will be Jeff Martinez. A visitation will be held at Jeane’s from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, May 23rd.
Laura was born December 18, 1966, in Pineville, LA and passed away May 21, 2022, in Alexandria, LA at the age of 55. She lived in Vernon Parish for most of her life. When her health was better, Laura enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. She was a straight-forward person and told it like it was. Her dog, Pooh Bear held a special place in her heart. She loved spending time with her family.
Laura was preceded in death by her parents, William Louis Brack and Dovie Corene Keeton Nichols; brothers, Johnny “Gene” Baker and Ronald “Ronnie” Baker; twin sister, Cora Ann Stracener; and best friend & companion, Roger Hilton.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Katie JoLynn Hilton of Leesville;
brothers, Larry Baker (Debbie) of Houston, TX, Benny Baker of DeRidder, LA, and William “Peanut” Brack (Kim) of Sugartown, LA;
sister, Cathy Turner of Leesville;
close family friends, Nikole Jeter of Leesville and Pat & Corinna Hilton of Anacoco, LA;
and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
