Lanelwyn was born January 26, 1963, in Alexandria, Louisiana and passed away March 4, 2025, in Alexandria at the age of 62. She was an independent and loving woman. Lanelwyn spent the greater part of thirty years with her soul mate and spouse, Jamey Robinson. Together with their families, they spent many hours in the roping arena. Lanelwyn was well known as a gifted timekeeper, announcer, and record keeper at local team ropings. She was known as “Maw” to all who cherished her. To know Maw, meant you were part of her family. Most of her career was spent at Turpin Pontiac and Southern Chevrolet in Alexandria, LA. Lanelwyn was a member of Lone Star Baptist Church, where she loved attending the services and singing hymns. Her family will forever feel a void in her absence here on earth. We rejoice and anticipate our heavenly reunion with her someday.
Lanelwyn was preceded in death by her father, John Wiley Brister and cousin, Tyler Wade Wood.
