Obituary for Kenneth James Dillard
Funeral services honoring the life of Kenneth James Dillard will be held on Thursday, August 15, 2024, at Good Hope Baptist Church at 12:00PM with Daniel Bridges and Tinker Hillman officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service. Serving as pallbearers will be William Bridges, Albert Bridges, Everette Bridges, Daniel Bridges, and Christopher Dillard. Honorary pallbearers will be Sonny Dillard, Frank Palestina, and Gary Patton.
Visitation will be on Thursday from 10:00 AM until time of service.
Kenneth James Dillard was born on December 1, 1944, in New Orleans, LA to Edgar and Beatrice Dillard. He passed away on August 11, 2024, in Leesville, LA at the age of 79. He worked for many years in the finance industry. Upon his retirement, he decided to substitute teach and loved it. He spent many days at Anacoco High School and was dearly loved by the students. He was a wonderful husband and dad and loved going on vacations with his family Kenneth was a devoted Christian and taught Sunday School, led devotions on Wednesday night, and helped with bible drill. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, and nephew, Jeff Dillard.
He is survived by his loving wife, Elisabeth, children Christopher and Sarah Dillard, all of Anacoco, brother Edgar “Sonny” Dillard of Madisonville, LA and a host of nieces, nephews, sister in laws, and brother in laws.
