Obituary for Kathryn "Kathy" Gail Combs Schulte
A graveside service for Kathryn “Kathy” Gail Combs Schulte will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 10, 2023, at the Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service. A visitation will be held at Jeane’s Funeral Service on Monday from 9:00 to 9:45 a.m.
Kathy was born June 4, 1957, in Cincinnati, Ohio and passed away July 5, 2023, in Leesville, Louisiana at the age of 66. She grew up in the Cincinnati area and traveled throughout the United States and overseas as a devoted military wife before moving to Leesville in 1992. Kathy was a homemaker and worked for Walmart for a while. She enjoyed being outdoors working in her yard, reading extensively, and showing love to her pet dogs. Kathy was a determined person who loved her family – especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Just sitting together and having a conversation brought her joy and she would often share memories from her life with her loved ones.
Kathy was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Lee Schulte and parents, Bobby Franklin Combs and Edith Mae Turner Mahan.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Daniel Lee Schulte (Melissa) of Hinesville, GA;
daughter, Lisa Michelle Toves (Cody Nicholas) of Leesville, LA;
grandchildren, Christina Avila (Christian), Kaitlyn Thomas, and Amirose Toves;
great-grandchildren, Lucas Chapman, Jacob Avila, Liam Avila, and Elijah Thomas;
sisters, Pam Hicks of Chandler, AZ and Connie Thompson (Mike) of Yorktown, VA;
and extended family members.
