Obituary for Kathryn Joan Hicks
Kathryn “Kathy” Joan Hicks was born February 16, 1939, in Chatham, Louisiana and passed away May 7, 2023, in Alexandria, Louisiana at the age of 84. She had a 26-year career with the Army Core of Engineers as a computer operator. When she was able, Kathy enjoyed traveling and visiting family members. Cooking delicious meals for her family was important to her as well as canning. Kathy also liked to solve crossword puzzles.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence Leo Rawls and Mary Emma Osbon Rawls.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, J.P. Hicks of Leesville, LA;
son, Kirk Michael Hicks & wife Evangeline of Leesville;
grandchildren, Heather Icenogle & husband Brinson and Angela Roberts;
great-granddaughter, Destinee Roberts;
brother, Robert Eugene Rawls and wife Alice;
brothers-in-law, Benjamin Lodie Hicks and Foster Thomas Hicks and wife Kathy;
and extended family members.
