Obituary for Kathleen David
A graveside service for Kathleen Gail David will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 in Prewitt’s Chapel Cemetery with Reverends Wayne Chance and Jerry Hughes officiating under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service.
Kathleen was born March 7, 1956 in Leesville, LA and went home to be with her Lord on September 4, 2020 in Shreveport, LA at the age of 64. She was a hard-working lady who worked for a time at Hodges Gardens and then in the cafeteria of Hornbeck High School for 17 years. Kathleen’s humble, kind spirit was a blessing to everyone who knew her, and she didn’t seek recognition for the things she did for others. Material things weren’t important to her, but she truly valued her family and friends. Kathleen enjoyed food, both cooking and eating, and no one left her house hungry. She loved nature and animals of all kinds. Whenever you saw her, she almost always had a smile on her face. Kathleen was a true believer and prayer warrior. She served the Lord faithfully and is now at home with Him.
Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents, J.P. and Christine Koonce and brother-in-law, Phillip Ebarb.
Left to cherish her memory are her beloved daughter, Christina VanHooser and husband Travis and Grand Pups, Taffy, Gabby, and Teddy all of Union City, TN,
sisters, Virginia McClelland and husband Mark of New Baltimore, MI; Charlotte Koonce of Justin, TX; Linda Parker and husband Pete of Hornbeck, LA; and Janet Ebarb on Florien, LA,
brother, Paul Koonce and wife Anna of Florien, LA,
nieces, Angie Fields and husband Garry; Gwen Hodson and husband Jeff; Christy Guinn and husband Bryan; and Kisha Goldvarg and husband Eric,
nephews, Scott Parker; Joe McClelland and wife Lora; and Jason Ebarb and wife Amy Lea,
great nieces and nephews, Kaitlyn Mitcham and husband Jakey; Miranda Prince and husband RJ; Madisyn Parker; Ethan, Legend, and JaceLea Ebarb; Madelyn and Nickolas Guinn; Chloe Wright and husband Tanner; Millie, Brogan, and Clare Bragg; Maddie, Quilyn, and Irelyn McClelland; Nathaniel Hodson; and Koty Goldvarg,

Pallbearers will be Paul Koonce, Pete Parker, Mark McClelland, Garry Fields, Scott Parker, Jason Ebarb, Joe McClelland, Ethan Ebarb, Jakey Mitcham, RJ Prince, and Lowden Prince.
